The Cala d'Or Playa is in a great spot if you're holidaying as a family. It's only about a five or six-minute walk from two lovely coves, while the centre of Cala d'Or is just slightly further on. Named after Admiral Collingwood, Nelson's right-hand man and a famous visitor of this building more than 200 years ago, the house has attracted famous personalities during the years, including the archaeologist Margaret Murray and the sculptor Waldemar Fenn. In 1962, the house was converted into a comfortable hotel, owned and operated by the Pons Montanari family, offering friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
