This is a first-class hotel, with a very pleasant open plan entrance, which houses the reception desk, car hire and concierge desk, modern welcoming bar and a choice of two restaurants. The whole area is fitted with dark wood panelling, comfortable modern chairs and sofas and lots of black & [meaning unclear]; white framed pictures of South Africa on the walls, giving it a stylish contemporary feel. The Southern Sun waterfront is perfectly positioned immediately outside the entrance to the popular Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. Ideally located for tourists wanting to be close to the city centre, and also for business clients, as the hotel sits opposite the city convention centre. The hotel has its own shuttle service to the V&A [meaning unclear] Waterfront.

LobbyThe hotel has a large lobby with marble flooring and a high ceiling with retro lights hanging down. The reception is slick looking with a huge fish tank to its right and the hotel bar is at the back of the lobby, overlooking the hotel swimming pool.
